Aged Care - Our role and ways to make things a little easier for you.

Many people are now choosing to organise their a funeral in advance. Talking about death and dying can be uncomfortable. However, discussing the issues early on can help family carry out a loved one's wishes and preferences.  We have a range of services that are designed to make things a little easier when the time comes.

When a death occurs

When a death occurs, your aged care provider will generally call us once a Doctor has been to certify that a person is deceased.

We will then travel to the aged care home and transfer the person into our care.  They will be taken to our mortuary at West Hindmarsh, near the city.

It is policy that Clarke Family Funerals  will call you only once we know you have been informed of a death or at least two hours after your loved one is in our care.  In the event of a death and transfer occurring at night, we will call you at about 8.30am. This is due to some occasions when family have not been contactable by the aged care home.

When we call you we will discuss a time to get together and arrange the funeral.

We offer 24 hour transfer care of your loved one from all locations in Adelaide.
